The MSW program at CSU Monterey Bay (CSUMB) has obtained candidacy status for accreditation from the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). CSUMB is a Hispanic-serving institution (Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities). The California Mental Health Services Act (Proposition 63) has provided funding to support the Master of Social Work program at California State University, Monterey Bay to meet the needs of the regional workforce.
We will start accepting Priority Applications for Fall 2013 starting on October 1, 2012!
Welcome to the home page of CSUMB's Master of Social Work (MSW) Program! Currently we have two cohorts (2010 & 2011) in the program and will have our full complement of 3 cohorts starting in August 2012. (Information on MSW student demographics is available by clicking the tab of Current Students). We are continuing to grow and thrive.

Fall 2013 student applications will be accepted between October 1 and January 31. You are encouraged to collect transcripts and references ahead of time, so that you will be able to turn in your complete application packet as early as possible.
